1. About these terms
These terms apply when you buy individual Work Sync access from Abbier Pty Ltd ABN 87 101 231 029, operator of Work Sync (Work Sync, we, us or our).
Our contact details are:
- Email: hello@worksync.com.au
- Address: 18 Second Ave, Maroochydore QLD 4558, Australia
By selecting the purchase action and continuing to payment, you agree to these Purchase Terms and acknowledge the Work Sync Privacy Policy. Please read both before purchasing.
2. Who can purchase
You may purchase individual access for yourself or for another participant if you understand the transaction and are legally able to enter into it.
Work Sync is recommended for participants aged 10 and over, but there is no enforced minimum participant age.
If you're under 18, we encourage you to involve a parent or guardian.
Work Sync does not impose a fixed minimum purchaser age or use age-verification checks. If the participant is under 18, the purchaser is not required by the current service to be the participant's parent or guardian or to complete a parental-authority check.
3. What you are buying
An individual purchase provides one non-transferable Work Sync access unit for one participant.
The current total price is $99 Australian dollars including GST. Payment is a one-off card payment through Stripe. There is no recurring fee or subscription.
The total price displayed on the individual sales page and immediately before payment should be the same. If different prices are displayed, do not complete the purchase. Contact Work Sync so we can correct the discrepancy and apply any rights or price obligations required by law.
Lifetime access means no recurring fee and no fixed access expiry, for as long as Work Sync continues to provide the individual service. It does not mean that Work Sync must operate indefinitely.
The participant can complete the Work Sync discovery experience, view their results, rewatch videos, make changes and use the available exploration and Wayfinder features. We may make routine improvements and changes that do not materially reduce the core individual service. A material reduction or discontinuation remains subject to the rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Payment and confirmation
Stripe securely processes the card payment and billing details. By completing payment, you confirm that you are the cardholder or have the cardholder's permission to make the payment. Access is not created merely because Checkout was opened or a browser returned to the Work Sync website. Work Sync creates the access unit only after payment has been confirmed through the payment process.
After confirmed payment, Work Sync sends the purchaser two separate emails:
- a payment confirmation; and
- a Set up your Work Sync access email containing the order-specific setup link.
The purchaser is responsible for providing an accessible and accurate purchaser email address in Stripe Checkout. If an expected email does not arrive, check the junk or spam folder and then contact hello@worksync.com.au.
5. Assigning the access
During setup, the purchaser assigns the access to one participant using:
- the participant's first-name profile label;
- one participant email address; and
- a Sent from label that appears in the participant's initial-access email.
The participant email address controls that profile's initial and return access and receives future verification codes. Review it carefully.
If you are purchasing for another participant, only provide their details where it is appropriate for you to arrange their Work Sync invitation.
Before the participant selects Start exploring, the purchaser may use the setup email to correct the participant details or resend the initial-access email. Selecting Start exploring locks the participant, profile, email address and Sent from label. The access cannot then be transferred or reassigned to someone else.
After the access is locked, the original purchaser setup email can request another copy of the participant's current access or return link. It cannot open the participant experience, reveal participant information, change the email address or satisfy a verification code.
If the same participant's email address needs correction after the access is locked, contact hello@worksync.com.au. We will verify the purchaser email and matching Stripe receipt or order reference before considering the correction. We will not use support to transfer the access to another participant or change the purchaser email.
6. Participant access and use
These Purchase Terms are accepted by the purchaser. A different participant is not treated as having accepted the purchaser's payment obligations merely because access was purchased for them. Before Start exploring, the participant must receive age-appropriate privacy information and the use rules that apply to their access.
The initial discovery experience is designed to take about 15 minutes in one browser session. The participant should begin only when ready to complete it. Incomplete discovery responses are not saved. If the participant leaves before successful completion, they will need to begin the discovery again with an empty response set.
After completion, the participant can return using the return link and a new verification code sent to the profile's authorised email address. Access links and verification codes should be kept secure and used only by the assigned participant.
Work Sync uses shared-device session protections. Participant information may be concealed after inactivity, and the participant may need to continue or sign in again.
The purchaser must not, and must take reasonable steps to ensure the access is not used to:
- share or publish protected setup, access, return or verification credentials;
- attempt to access another participant's information;
- interfere with the service, its security or its normal operation;
- use automated methods to extract content or data without written permission; or
- use Work Sync unlawfully or in a way that infringes another person's rights.
We may restrict or end a session where reasonably necessary to protect the participant, the service or other users. This does not remove rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. What Work Sync does and does not provide
Work Sync is an interest-discovery and career-exploration tool. It is designed to help participants recognise patterns in work activities that interest them and explore related possibilities.
Work Sync does not provide psychological, medical, legal, financial or individual career-placement advice. Results are not a guarantee of suitability, admission, employment, earnings or a particular outcome. Participants should use the information as one input into further research and conversations with appropriate adults, educators or advisers.
8. Availability and changes
We take reasonable steps to keep Work Sync available and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed. Availability can be affected by maintenance, security incidents, internet access and third-party services.
We may maintain and improve the service and make changes that do not materially reduce its core individual features. If we propose a material reduction or stop providing the paid individual service, we will deal with affected purchasers consistently with the Australian Consumer Law and other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Refunds, faults and payment disputes
Work Sync does not provide refunds merely because you change your mind.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a problem with the service is minor, Work Sync will fix it within a reasonable time where required by law. If a service problem is major, the remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law may include cancelling the contract and receiving money back for the affected or unconsumed part of the service, or keeping the contract and receiving a price reduction. Other compensation may also be available where required by law.
To report a problem, request a remedy or raise a payment dispute, email hello@worksync.com.au with the purchaser email address and Stripe receipt or order reference. Do not send card details, passwords, verification codes or complete access links.
We will assess the issue and explain the remedy and any effect on continuing access that applies to the particular case.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information Work Sync and its providers collect and how it is used, disclosed, protected and retained. It also explains how to request access or correction and how to make a privacy complaint.
When purchasing for another participant, you should make sure the participant knows that their first name and email address will be provided to Work Sync and can access the Privacy Policy before they begin.
Paying for another participant's access does not give the purchaser access to the participant's responses, results, saved work or verification codes.
11. Work Sync content
Work Sync and its licensors own the intellectual-property rights in the service, including its software, videos, text, graphics, frameworks and reports, except where otherwise stated.
The purchase gives the assigned participant a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose while Work Sync continues to provide it. It does not transfer ownership of Work Sync content or permit commercial reproduction, redistribution or creation of a competing service.
The participant may use and discuss their own results for personal education and career exploration, subject to any organisation-specific access arrangements that apply.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any liability, consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Work Sync results are intended to support further exploration and conversation, not to replace individual judgement or professional advice. Responsibility for any loss will otherwise be determined under the applicable law, including whether the loss was reasonably foreseeable and caused by a failure by Work Sync to meet an applicable obligation.
13. Contact and complaints
For purchase, access, refund or complaint support, contact:
Work Sync, 18 Second Ave, Maroochydore QLD 4558, Australia
Email: hello@worksync.com.au
We aim to respond within 30 days. Urgent access or security concerns may be handled sooner.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
The courts of Queensland and any other Australian court or tribunal with jurisdiction may hear a dispute. Nothing in this section limits any forum, right or protection available to a consumer under a law that cannot be excluded.
15. Changes to these terms
The terms accepted at the time of purchase apply to that purchase. We may update these terms for future purchases by publishing a new version and effective date.
If a change is proposed for existing access, it will not remove accrued rights or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a material change affects existing participants, we will take reasonable steps to give appropriate notice.
